چکیده

In the present paper , dynamic characteristics of the pressure pulsation and heat exchange have been analyzed in cooler of reciprocating compressor. Through the analysis of energy balance for an heat exchange element , the differential equations are established for the heat exchange element. Effect of the pressure pulsation on heat exchange has been considered in the cooler of the compressor by using a method of modified Reynolds number. The results· indicate that the pressure pulsation can enhance heat exchange in the cooler. INTRODUCTION Many researchers at home and abroad have done the work on eliminating the gas pulsation and piping vibration in compressor system. However, the gas pulsation may have benefit in compressor system sometimes. For example, it is indicated that the gas pulsation may enhance heat exchange [1]. On the basis of establishing the energy balance equations of differential elements for heat exchange of cooler, and revising the Reynolds number, the present work shows that the pressure pulsation enhances heat exchange in cooler of compressor.

Fault Diagnosis of Reciprocating Compressor Using Pressure Pulsations

The major problems encountered in a reciprocating compressor are because of the valve failure .The other problem of leakage past the piston because of the worn out piston rings has also been placed in the reciprocating compressor. Pressure pulsations generated inside the piping of a reciprocating compressor may be taken as one of the tool for diagnosing the nature of fault inside the compressor...

Design Challenges for Reciprocating Compressors in Specialty Gas Services

Many software tools are used to simulate compressor performance and pressure pulsations in piping systems. Designers of reciprocating equipment rely on these tools to accurately simulate gas properties and pressure pulsations for specialty gases. Two case studies on reciprocating compressors, involving ethane and ethylene, outline the root causes and consequences of inaccurate performance and p...

A Study of Resonant State of Pressure Pulsation in a Simple Suction Pipeline of Reciprocating Compressor

Analysis and experiment show that to supercharge the suction volume of a cylinder by means of pressure pulsation is not certain to result in delay of the valve closing. To arrange a proper suction pipeline and valve cavity, we can not only get supercharge of the cylinder, but also, get economical specific power consumption, while valve working condition is good too. In this paper the methods of ...

Time Resolved Mass Flow Measurement for a Reciprocating Compressor

The instantaneous mass flow was measured during the intake and discharge processes of a reciprocating gas compressor (1)*. The purpose of these measurements was to identify the mechanism which caused a loss of adiabatic and volumetric efficiency that could not be accounted for by valve flow losses. The measurements were made wi ·th square-edged orifices and fast response differential pressure t...
